  Science is our knowledge of all the stuff that is in the universe, from the tiniest subatomic particles in a single atom of the metal in your computer's circuits, to the nuclear reactions that formed the immense ball of gas that is our sun, to the complex chemical interactions and electrical fluctuations within your own body that allow you to read and understand these words.

     September is the month wherein we celebrate the National Science Month with the theme, "METABOLIZE: Nourishing the Filipino Youth Towards National Well-Being". This annual Science Month Celebration will encourage students to embrace science more than just a subject but as a world full of marvel and exploration. 
     Different activities were held in ISNHS hosted by the Science department and club officers. Exhibits were made by teachers that displayed different scientific concepts. Sci-tricks was performed by

the SSC students; there was also a Science quiz bee for the different grade levels which they each grade level winners teamed up for the Sci-fight. And the highlight of the celebration, the search for Ginoo at Binibining Kalikasan, which proves that the ISNHS students are not only beautiful but are also an advocate for the environment.
     This event helps a lot in the development of every student's talents and confidence. Science is indeed wonderful and magical, since, it is the explanation of all the knowledge that we obtain.

Worldwide Culture Preservation

          Solidarity is the unity between people who have the same interests or goals.Every September, Vigan City celebrates the World Heritage Cities Solidarity Cultural Festival.  
     It also serves as a great venue for forging ties and understanding through community’s involvement in the city’s various activities that highlights love for culture, arts and entertainment.
     This month-long festivity, in solidarity with other World Heritage Cities around the world, aims to strengthen the pride in the city’s history and culture, promote friendship and diversity between countries.

Encouraging a Happier Learning Ground

          The "Happy Schools" movement promotes a child friendly atmosphere among the students. It aims to create an environment where students can express themselves freely and promote learning in an easy yet effective way. 

          A happy school is composed of happy teachers and students built in a happy environment to increase learning productivity among learners through fun and happy activities.

The movement will implement programs like “cooperative learning” or group work, storytelling, film viewing and game time or “play-based” learning for the children. The movement seeks to promote every school in the region as a better and enjoyable place to study. Through this program, the learners’ full potential is given the greatest attention by creating a happier and more positive school culture.

        Furthermore, the movement aims to inculcate in the minds of pupils that school is not just a place for learning but also a place for fun and enjoyment as they enjoy what they are doing.
          Happy School fosters a child-friendly atmosphere among all learners. The creation of an environment where learners can voice-out and fully express themselves as well as promote learning in an easy yet affective way of learning is the core of this movement.
