Love and Family Hugs

December 25 is one of the most important days for everyone worldwide, specially Christians and also many non-Christians. It is the day Jesus Christ, our saviour was born and when families get together to celebrate this. A day filled with gift-giving, family and social gatherings, and feasting.

The season of joy, of peace, of great tidings. Laughs, smiles, hugs and kisses shared to each and every member of the family specially to those who went home from distant places just to celebrate and reunite with their family.

This Christmas season, it is important for us to bear in our minds the reason why we are celebrating this yuletide season in the first place. In this month of December, it is a must for us to remember that our Lord came in this world in order to save us from our sins; He came to redeem us from the wickedness of this world.

Stamp Out Violence

Violence have been ruling around our world these days. Women are the most common victims of such detriment since they are, of what the society sees, much weaker than men. But are they really weaker than them?

Men hurt women because of some identified main causes of violence in women and children as poverty, low educational attainment, and lack of community support. Disasters, too, can increase the incidence of VAWC. They explained that the displacement in communities often create opportunities for human trafficking and sex trade. Amidst these evil acts, the law is on our side, the Republic Act 9262 or the Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children.

So, if you're going through different types of violence, don't be afraid to seek help. Tell the people you trust and most specially the authority. They can help you stand up,stamp out the horrible memories that he left. You are strong.
